While there are many fairly priced audio-editors out there, and some titles are more prominent than others, that doesn't mean that you can't find some hidden gems. Acon Digital Acoustica Premium 7 is one such gem. This award-winning package can do way more than you might think, since both the Premium and Standard editions include that much-sought-after Remix tool to conveniently split audio up into five individual stems - great for remixing and old-school sampling. While this is not exactly an exclusive feature and is offered by other packages, it has somehow been made way more budget-friendly than other packages. On top of that, of course, you get multi-track editing; access to Acon effects, Equalize 2, Vertebrate 2, Restoration Suite 2 and Mastering Suite; a Transfer plug-in for importing and exporting audio to Pro Tools; and audio polishing tools for more in-depth spectral editing. Plugs-ins such as VSTs are supported alongside all of the essential editing tools you would expect of a solid chunk of software.
